Kurrajong Scarecrow Festival
Scarecrows built by local families around the Kurrajong district are judged on the Saturday. Category winners were awarded certificates and great prizes donated by local businesses.
Then on the Sunday scarecrows are brought into Memorial Park in Kurrajong for the 'Spectacle of Scarecrows'. Market stalls are erected in the street and the crowds enjoy performances by local children and musical artists.
A spectacular dinosaur scarecrow, 'Tyranno-straw-us Rex', made by the McKeown-Todd family,delighted the crowds at the 2007 Kurrajong Scarecrow Festival.
